Battleship results
Wow! Battleship was a great event with many exciting moments:
On the West Coast, Thomas sunk a battleship in just five turns. But in Atlanta, Sarah B. sunk a battleship in four turns to start to the tournament. In that game she managed to sink all five ships with just seven misses for a 70% accuracy rate!
Atlanta’s Sarah E. had five straight victories, but lost in the final when she couldn’t find the P.T. Boat in time.
The closeness of games was evidenced by the multiple players who earned the “Most ships sunk in a loss” bonus. Four was the maximum value and a total of 10 players in Atlanta and Portland met the mark.
The full results are posted.
Overall, Willow has a commanding lead in the PDX Charter after winning gold or silver in all three events so far. Scores are tighter in the ATL Charter, where Sarah E. has the lead, but only by 7 points.
Mark your calendars: The next event is Poker on May 8. Pre-registration is now open and full details will be posted soon. The entry fee for poker will be $10 — $5 for the league and $5 for the prize pool.
If you’re interested in a practice/teaching session before the main event, please contact your commissioner. If there is enough interest, a Poker 101 course may be arranged.
